NoRTEC was one of the ten local areas selected for this in depth study. Dave and Cathy will present an overview of the study and answer questions. |

LOCAL BUSINESS CAN HELP WITH K-12 (10:30 to 12:00) Mike Gallo, President & Chief Executive Officer, Kelly Space & Technology, Inc., was part of a group that worked with the schools in San Bernadino to help develop curriculum designed to capture the imagination and encourage kids to stay in school and to take their math and science seriously. He will talk about what they tried and what they accomplished. |

TARGETS OF OPPORTUNITY (1:00 to 2:30) Janet DePace, Chair of the Humboldt WIB, will present the results of a five county study they just completed identifying "industry sectors that are highly-concentrated and/or have been growing in employment, concentration, or wages." She will talk about how they went about making their selections and how the results can be translated into action by the WIB. |
